Today we're talking about second chances after a brief hiatus from my writing. I've recently engaged myself in a job that fulfills me mentally and spiritually. I found a place to belong, a charity, not-for-profit organization that allows me to contribute and get paid at the same time. Even though the pay is not much, I am just grateful to be surrounded by good people. Though my previous jobs left me plenty of material goods to show, it also left me unfulfilled and empty while surrounded by superficial people who feel that life can be summed up with the amount of money in your bank account.
I'm inspired to make a change and continue to work towards the better. Work that means something, whereby it fills me inside out, leaving a contentment only felt by the noble mission of people working for charity organizations. Gossips and office politics still exist here but seeing the whole picture and envisioning a better tomorrow from all your time and effort with a dose of kind-heart makes things much easier to bear. In the days of uncertainties, I am truly thankful for this second chance.
