The cast, the storyline, the build up and growth of each character is just awesome. Credit goes to creator, writer and producer of the show; Shonda Rhimes.
The recent episode hit me straight to the heart and I wish to quote her here. Olivia Pope was speaking to a client from her perspective after having gone through similar circumstances with the POTUS, Fitz III.
"You did what you thought was best at the time even if it was wrong. You thought it was best. You can't change the choice you made. All you can do is not let it ruin you.
Learn to forgive yourself. That sounds lonely. It is."
She realizes this as it also hits her again to which she faces Fitz, wishing for a solution, albeit emotionally drained.
Then she goes on later to see Fitz and he assures her that "whatever is wrong, we'll fix it. Just say you'll wait for me... This isn't theoretical any more, this is real..."
